Changes to MUP distribution in Australia from February 2025

Dear booksellers,

This letter is a reminder of the upcoming change to sales and distribution of MUP titles, first announced in June 2024.

Melbourne University Publishing (MUP) will be selling and distributing our titles with Simon & Schuster Australia (S&S) and Harper Entertainment and Distribution Services (HEDS) from February 2025 after fourteen years of exceptional service from Penguin Random House Australia (PRH) and United Book Distributors (UBD).

Key dates for new orders and returns:

UBD

· New orders will be accepted until 28 January 2025

· UBD will stop issuing Returns Authorisations (RAs) on 31 January 2025

· UBD will process returns for all RAs issued by UBD until 28 March

HEDS

· 2025 sell-in of MUP titles has commenced with S&S and underway

· Full MUP list will be available to order via HEDS from February 2025

Print-on-demand (POD)

· POD orders will not be immediately available via HEDS in February 2025, so please order POD stock using a wholesale account via mup.com.au. We hope to have POD available via HEDS set up as soon as possible
