Rob Beattie remembers only too well his dad's shed (actually it was a garage, but it was a shed in spirit) and the many wondrous experiments that came out of it. From making dancing spaghetti to creating his own insecticide, he learnt all the tricks that are essential for making the most of your shed. He is a journalist who writes about technology and music and has written for The Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Observer and Easy PC. He lives in Brighton with a great shed at the bottom of the garden.
